What sad news and what a great loss to the community. A splendid and always reliable scholar. His legacy will live one however.

An exceptional gentleman and scholar.

I’ve enjoyed a number of his books and I particularly liked his Napoleon’s Army. I’d like to send his family and close friends my deepest condolences. He is a sad loss to the hobby.

The Napoleonic world is growing smaller.
