This gentleman led the Piedmontese light troops at Mondovi in 1796, does anyone have a biography and/or a portrait of him? My searches of the interweb have only produced his name. Many ThanksGarry

Piemont's Militair-Geschichte by Pinelli, vol. I, mentions at p. 72 a company led by a notary "Battista Lisa", but no rank: https://books.google.de/books?id=CnkpAAAAYAAJ
Best regards, Thomas
His name would - I think - more likely be: Giovanni Battista Cavaliere di Masio.
"Cavaliere" meaning "Knight" and "Masio" being a community in Piëmont.
