Napoleon

The following text, both generalist and documented, seemed to us a most interesting prelude to a set of articles that will arrive on "Héritages" which deal with the outfits of Napoleon Bonaparte but also many of his horses, articles that make up the body of the project "NAPOLEON & BONAPARTE" ( see www.patricecourcelle.com ). Exept from an adaptation to this platform, nothing has been changed. During the commemoration in 1969 of the bicentenary of the birth of Emperor Napoleon I, the author of this article had fun collecting in the various French equestrian magazines the articles devoted to the relationship of the great man with the noblest conquest of the human race, in a word how he rode, the incidents of his life on horseback and what were his personal horses.
