I've come across a lot of conflicting information online about Napoleon’s military ranks throughout his career. Could someone provide a definitive list of the officer ranks Napoleon held, including the exact moments, events, or battles at which he was promoted? I’m interested in a detailed timeline showing when and how he advanced in rank.

He is shown as either on campaign or working or relaxing in Paris.
