Tie in the USA and Santayana

Looks likes the US Presidential election might be headed for a tie. In that case, the House of Representatives chooses the President and the Senate chooses the VP. The House divides to give each state delegation one vote.


This in Santayana terms first happened in the 1800 election, which resulted in the election of the third President Thomas Jefferson. He represented the Democratic-Republican party. 🤪

The election in the US certainly doesn't look like a 'tie.' On the contrary it looks like an overwhelming win for President-Elect Biden...😀
