Curious really - talk of mathematical approaches, strategic points, lines of operations etc. in Jomini and not one mention of the fact that he wrote annotated translations of the campaign histories of 1796 and 1799 in Germany by Archduke Charles. One might almost imagine that they are so beholden to Clausewitz that their actual reading has not been that extensive.
