Lack of Allied commander episodes on podcasts
I have followed along on 3 Napoleonic podcasts and noticing lack of episodes on Allied commanders. A few on Russians, oh many on British but seems weak on other countries.
Maybe just a complaint from a Francophobe Napoleonist, guess it is just part of the territory.

I have found since the dawn of the Internet that there is a kind of belief that there is an everlasting pool of material, which just needs to be drawn down. In reality of course, somebody has to create the material.
So, the issue is the same as in the pre-Net days, in that English-language material will be produced by English-language speakers. For obvious cultural and historical reasons, those authors will go to the English and French subjects and material. If you are looking at German material, much of it is old and so printed in the Gothic/Frankenstein printface - and let's not get into Cyrillic! Even this material was until recently only available at national libraries, which you had to physically visit.
Then you have to look at publishing. Even before Amazon, publishers wanted material that will sell - Waterloo or the Marshals are not an issue, but get into the Continental allies and the answer is "no-one is interested".
The other side of this is the "open door" - enthusiasts will start with the popular material, but most are open to "new" material (at least to the English language) for a podcast as it is an interesting few minutes of new subjects. John Viscardo is very kind abut my efforts, but the downloads are much more down to novelty than my skills!
Whether it was starting on 1809 thirty years ago or talking about Allied commanders recently, it takes a lot longer to gather the material, not because the creator has to get the material, but also understand the context, in order to present it clearly and correctly.
