Good to hear the European angle, especially the events of 1813-14 burying the ‘man of peace’ nonsense, when you add them to 1800. N was about as reliable as .... well, you know.
Having a little Dutch DNA, I was amused to hear the Dutch get upset about the usual Waterloo narrative. ‘Waterloo: The Dutch Victory”? ..... best not go there!
Wow, I am very impressed - especially by Beatrice de Graaf, who clearly sees the "pan" European approach of those 4 battles between 16th to 18th June.
The sad story about the downplay of other than the British, right up to today is - that there exist good sources already from day one - covering well the deciding roles of the Dutch / Belgians (especially Quatre Bras) but also their German units - Nassau, Braunschweig, Hannover - not to speak about the Prussians themselves .
Seemingly all those works were utterly ignored during the last 200 years by British historians - for me is shows the heavy weight Britain was politically from 1815 till the end of WW2 and just beyond (at least for a while) - when the lion roars the mice have to shut up.
