Polish Troops of the Napoleonic Wars
"When it comes to Poles of the Napoleonic era, consider how hard a proud people fight when they have no homeland of their own, and they feel that following one man, Napoleon, is their best chance to get one."

And you'd be posting how horrible Napoleon was to create a Greater Poland. At least Napoleon created the Duchy of Warsaw. There is no country of Kurdistan.
there would be - one would have to committ oneselves, in case Boney would have created a greater Poland - so what? He could cope with all powers around and would have won an eternal trustworthy allie.
Napoleon's situation with the Poles is similar to NATOs situation with the Kurds. Though they support the Kurds and their aspirations for statehood, any measures which would satisfy the Kurds' goals would alienate other important allies (or hoped for allies) in the region. There is no elegant solution to the problem.
Again it shows how powerfull the propaganda of Boney is still today working, the Poles, abused to suit his whims, indeed from the superficial point of view it seemed that Boney was their best chance to get their homeland.
