-Campagne de l'Armee de Reserve en 1800 by Gaspar de Cugnac
-Campagne de Marengo by Gaspar de Cugnac
'De Cugnac did valuable work in reviewing the available source material. Among other accomplishments, he corrected the chronology of that much-romanticized campaign. The first of these two publications-a collection of the official reports of both armies-is the more valuable for the serious student.'
-Lanza, Conrad, editor, Marengo Campaign, 1800: Source Book
'A collection of background material including detailed material on Fort Bard and a translation of De Cugnac's The Campaign of the Army of the Reserve in 1800. Much of it is highly useful, but its coverage of the organization and equipment of the armies of this period is frequently incorrect.'
The headline is - as a lot of others - misleading, in case I would look for Marengo material, then it should be more than just De Cugnac.
Lanza, Conrad, editor, Marengo Campaign, 1800: Source Book 'A collection of background material including detailed material on Fort Bard and a translation of De Cugnac's The Campaign of the Army of the Reserve in 1800.
There you asked me about the books about the Armée de Musée Paris, I ask, did you have a look at Lanza's work? I assume no, there it is by no means a translation of De Cugnacs work, but only some few chapters.
Are you aware that De Cugnacs Armée de Reserve is of two volumes, with well over 1300 pages???
Compare those to the about 233 pages of Lanza (editor)
