guys I am using regional flags of the time for my 1809 Austrian Landwehr so it’s not just a sea on table of Austrian flags and adds a different bit of colour . In addition Piano wargames have released a summit unit in 1/56. So any help please with the Prague Landwehr flag would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your patience in recent weeks, whilst we have dealt with issues behind the scenes which left you unable to post on the forum.
In September, mandatory upgrades meant that the website developers who we pay for the maintenance of servers etc behind this site suspended the use of the old style of Forums for all of their customers. There were no exceptions.
As I began the process of migrating all the data from the previous iteration to this new system (including some 11,000 posts), we hit snags with two items (not bad considering we had something in the region of 70,000 comments to move over on top of the 11,000 posts). Peter, there was no difference in swordknot colour distinctions between 'line' and Guard cavalry, just as there were not any for infantry. The distinctions were in other uniform items--cuff & collar lace, aiguiettes, etc.
I have written up all I have come across with Austrian flags for Wikipedia. The flags carried by Landwehr and Freiwilliger units are poorly documented and are largely speculative. The Prague Landwehr, featured in the Eder paintings, would either have had a spare Ordinarfahne (probably 1792 pattern) or possibly one of the Legion standards from 1800. But unless something definite turns up, that is a guess.
