New Category
Having observed the recent explosion of posts related to published works, I thought it might be useful to have an entire category of the forum specifically devoted to this. That way those who would rather that the 'General Discussion' category remained focused on broader topics of debate will not feel that the discussion is becoming dominated by debates around certain titles. Equally it keeps all associated threads related to books in one place.
Please also be aware that there is a bespoke category of 'new research' - obviously details of new books can fit into either category.
As ever, please adhere to forum rules, keep the discussion polite, and avoid repetitive posts. if the discussion has been covered already, nobody benefits a great deal in covering entrenched positions all over again.

Thanks for this - its a nice suggestion. If you mean posting links to reviews published on other sites, then yes, absolutely - be my guest.
If, however, you mean publishing new reviews of works, then I'm afraid the answer to that is a respectful but firm no from me on two counts. For one thing I have far too much on my plate as it is to be overseeing the publication of reviews on this site. For a second, when I took over the task for running the forum, the agreement with the Waterloo Association was that I would take ownership of the forum, whilst they took over everything else associated with the Napoleon series, which included book reviews. The division of labour was very distinct in that regard. However, if you are interested in writing reviews, I'm sure Paul Chamberlain, who oversees that element of the Napoleon series site, would be delighted to hear from you.
Its a nice suggestion though - sorry to pour cold water on it.
