It is said that the film, 'The Madness of King George III' had its title reduced to 'The Madness of King George', because Americans would wonder what happened to films I and II. Well, our old mate, Ridley "Were you there" Scott has just produced 'Gladiator II' and according to the BBC:
"Sir Ridley, who made 2023's epic Oscar and Bafta-nominated film Napoleon, told Deadline last year, external that he made Gladiator II because "economically, it makes sense...
"I thought the [first] film was, as it were, completely satisfactory, creatively complete, so why muck with it, right?
"But these cycles keep going on and on and on, they repeat globally for the last 20 years. It started to spell itself out as an obvious thing to do, and that’s how it evolved."
Will we see 'Napoleon II' - will it be bits he missed out in 'Napoleon' - or will it be about the Emperor's son? This would really confuse the Yanks!

That's why I never saw "Ocean's Eleven", because I had seen the previous ten.
I am still picking myself up after "Oscar and Bafta-nominated.".......
I think its pretty certain there will be- probably on streaming -a longer version of Scott's "Napoleon" and it won't be any better.
