American filmmakers will release a series about the French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, which will describe not only the life of the commander, but also the history of his family. The film will be co-directed by Tod Williams, who has directed films such as Paranormal Activity 2
“The series will present Napoleon as a son, brother and husband, as well as a member of a family where passions raged, and all representatives of which were equally amazing personalities, a family ruled by a powerful woman who, through her children, reached her ultimate goal, which she was obsessed with - unlimited power."
The film is based on the biographical novel by Max Gallo, which is considered the most complete work about the life of Napoleon.
Actually Gallo's novels weren't bad. For someon who wanted to read about Napoleon, but not read a nonfiction history, I'd mention them. That said I doubt any book is "the most complete work about the life of Napoleon." I like how the movie, seemingly not content with smearing Napoleon, is smearing his mother as well. I have an animated movie coming out smearing Napoleon's horse called "Marengo the Bastard"! 😜
