I was recently given by a person who would prefer to remain anonymous the Situation Sommaire des Troupes 20 Avril 1809 for the 3e Corps. This was a great find and helped narrow down the number of casualties for the 3e Corps on 19 Avril 1809. I also have the Situations Sommaire for Avril 10 1809. Can anyone help me understand on what regular basis this was recorded? Every five or ten days?
This is what my translator says, "Fortunately, we found the strength of the Davout Corps for the 20th; We know the one for the 15th, and therefore the combat losses of the 19th are to be determined with almost complete security." If Binder is correct, then it would seem to be taken every five days?
I also have Situation des Troupes Composant le 3e Corps de l'Armee d'Allemagne a l'epoque du Premier du Mois de Mai 1809 from 2C 506 which shows the changes from 16 Avril through 30 Avril in killed, captured, and promotion of officers. Below are the documents.
