As I added more and more photos with annotated tags to the uniform portal (http://uniformenportal.de) I want to have a search-interface with which I may look for the several images stored in the database.
Now I started with a somewhat plainer interface at http://www.napoleon-online.de/armeen_uniformenportal.php where you may choose the country (I think most of the German names are familiar) and "press the button". The result lists gives a table with thumbnails of all images relating to the country, the time period and the title of the image in the uniform portal.
If you click on the thumbnail you'll be directed to the entry in the portal and may check the series it belongs to and of course download several sizes.
I'm sure to add more comfort to the search interface but it is quite tricky and I'm just learning the programming language again đ
