Does anyone know of detailed order of battle for the Austrian armies in Germany and Switzerland in the Spring/Summer of 1800. I have the rather incomplete OOB from de Carrion-Nisas and using Alphons Wrede and the Gedenkblatter I've tracked down which units were in Germany. What I don't know is who commanded what. Can anyone help?
Picard has some detailed Austrian Ordres de Bataille in his La Campagne en Allemagne en 1800 in volume I - which should cover the time frame you are interested in - it is available for download at Gallica
Thanks I will check it out.
Huffer: Quellen Zur Geschichte der Kriege Von 1799 und 1800 is on archive.org and should answer your questions as it is a collection of KA documents.
Thank you for your help. Picard's order of battle seems to be the same as Carrion-Nisas, although he gives more information of Kray's dispositions. Huffer's correspondance only seems to cover Italy during the first half of 1800 and then moves to Germany after October.
Sorry, too wrapped up in Marengo! Anyway, the OMZ from 1836 might offer some information https://www.oesta.gv.at/documents/551235/556044/Milit%c3%a4rische+Zeitschrift+1809-1914+(Register).pdf/c1e98b16-a16c-4afc-a2e2-418372d29f5f
The actual books are on hathitrust.
There is this by Heilmann although he is focused on the Bavarian army https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=jGwJAwAAQBAJ&pg=PA82&dq=Kray+deutschland+1800&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiiqoeh6MfnAhVXQkEAHTjhCa4Q6AEIKDAA#v=onepage&q=Kray%20deutschland%201800&f=false

Thank you very much for your time and help. There was an account written of the campaign written for the Streffleurs journal in 1836 but again no order of battle. It looks like Picard's is the most detailed although it seems from the campaign history that the Austrian troops were split up in dribs and drabs all over the landscape. Perhaps due to the malign influence of Weyrother.
