I am sorry to announce that Dick Tennant died recently of pancreatic cancer. He was a true gentleman scholar. He was a frequent contributor to the Napoleon Series, First Empire magazine, and other journals. His interests were very eclectic and I never knew what he would send me. One submission might be on bridges, while the next on minor French allies. One of my favorites was on uniform dyes! He was generous to a fault and always willing to help answering research questions. He will be missed.

I'm very sorry to hear that. He shared some insights on the battlefield of Arroyomolinos with me and was very generous in his praise for 'Riflemen'. He even offered a list of minor typos I'll get fixed for the paperback edition!
That is a sad loss. I didn't know him well, but he was a nice and generous man, full of enthusiasm and vitality.
I'm sorry to learn of this. I met Richard Tennant at the 2019 Wellington Congress and found him to be generous and amiable.
