Hello everyone,
I have been pushing through to the finish of listing the officers that served in the 3rd Corps at the Battle of Thann. I am hitting a wall regarding the ADCs for both General de Brigades Lorencez and Destabenrath.
I know so far that the situational report for 1 June 1809 of the 2nd Corps list Lorencez with Capit. Jolain was his ADC, but after further research, I found his service record that stated he transferred to Lorencez after the death of General Pouzet at the Battle of Essling. Another report for on 15 July 1809 for the 4th Corps shows General Destabenrath having one ADC named Destabenrath, which I am assuming is his brother Pierre Destabenrath.
Lastly, I found two service records that show officers from the ligne regiments in Lorencez's brigade were transferred to his staff on April 23, 1809. I wonder if he did not have an ADC and picked two officiers d'ordonnance from the regiments he commanded, and then they were officially appointed in the April 23 Decree.
So if anyone has any information on possibly ADC for both these Generals during the 1808 or 1809 period it would be greatly appreciated.
Below is what I have so far for the 4th Division.
