Now that I have moved on to the research of the 10e Legere in 1809, I wanted to show the 10e Legere etat des mutations for the battalions of war for the month of April. As you can see it shows all officers killed, wounded, or captured at the beginning of the campaign. Only eight officers were wounded and 2 captured (including 1 of the wounded) on April 19th. However, as you can see below the 10e Legere carried most of the heavy fighting at the Battle of Eckmuhl on April 21-22, which wounded its commanding officer Colonel Berthezene. This is one of the few regiments I have researched that has such a well-written list of officers wounded and killed for each month. On the left of the first pictures are the officer casualties for May 1809. Also, below is a list of officer nominations for promotion on April 25, 1809. The second officer is Chef de Batallion Lafitte who was wounded on the 22nd but was promoted to the commander of the 72e Ligne who did not have Colonel since Colonel Ficatier was promoted to General de Brigade in 1808.
Just thought I would post some interesting things I found so far!

Did you read the souvenirs militaires de Berthezene - though clearly a Boney fawner an interesting read, also for his actions in 1809.
Hans- Karl,
I have read his souvenirs and enjoyed them. His and General Latrille de Lorencez are the best primary source material on the battle. It would be nice if they gave more details and read less like a history book, compared to the bigger battles later on in the campaign, Thann is small. Also, the report from General Saint-Hilaire's Aide de camp found in Saski is interesting as well. I am sure there are letters out there from the commanders of the regiments or Generals just waiting to be found. One can only wish!
