Digby Smith died yesterday. He was 89. Digby was one of the most prolific authors of our era. For many of us, his were the first Napoleonic books we bought. He, of course, is better known as Otto von Pivka and got his start writing for the Ospery Men-at-Arms Series.
A short biography from 2007 can be seen at:
He will be missed.
He will be missed RIP.
Very sad news. RIP Digby
We often didn't agree about Napoleon but Digby was one of the old-time stalwarts of the Napoleon Series and will be missed.
Sad news indeed... RIP Digby
That is very sad news, my first napoleonic uniform books were his.
Oh no - as Bob said one of the authors who accompanied my passion life for a very long time. He'll be missed.
RIP Digby
