I am researching an account of Waterloo and having ridden out of the gate at Brussels towards Waterloo, he passes the village of Fleugatt, probably a miss spelling, but I cannot find anything like this. Any ideas??
On British maps it's sometimes spelled "Fleugat" with only one T. Where the N5 runs through it, it's called the Vleurgatsesteenweg (=Fleugat Stone Road).
Its proper spelling is "Vleurgat". Nowadays it's in Brussels. Where the N5 crosses the N24.
Thanks Rob

I think I’ve stayed at the IBIS there?
@david Tomlinson That would be at the: "ibis Styles Brussels Louise"?
@Rob Wolters Could well be, I stay (or rather stayed, before lockdown) in so many chain hotels, they all merge into one. Just the names seem familiar.
