Hi, Im doing some research for a forthcoming mini What if? campaign and am trying to find any info on British troop disposition/command structure in the North (County Durham and Northumberland) I have some great info on the 1795 encamptments (cowpen etc) but cant find much on anything south of those, Im assuming the guns at Hartlepool also had a garrison but so far.... Any pointers help etc greatly appriciated

In 1798 the North-East District had a Lieutenant General commanding in Newcastle with subordinate Major Generals commanding in Durham and in Sunderland.

John Michael Kitzmiller’s books give the locations of regular British Regiments. They do not list individual battalions, Fencibles, Militia or Volunteers.
